Windows2000 Terminal Services Tips
Windows 2000 Terminal Server has two runtime: "Application Server Mode" and "Remote Administration Mode). The former provides application sharing services for end customers. In this mode, the client uses the identity of the simulation terminal and displays the server desktop, and the application on the server can be run. The latter provides a powerful way for system administrators with a remote management server. System administrators can remotely manage the server via any TCP / IP connection. These two modes are suitable for different occasions, but they cannot run at the same time.
In small and medium-sized local area networks, in order to simplify network management, reduce system administrator burden, reduce software upgrades, and maintenance, usually use Application Mode to provide application sharing services to clients.
