Install TurboLinux10 in Windows
Process, take my installation process as an example, some setting parameters modified by situation
1. Download Grub for dos, http: //newdos.yginfo.net/dosware/grub/grub020p.zip Solve it in the hard disk.
I put it: d: / grub20p
2. Put the kernel and boot files of TurboLinux Copy to the hard disk in the disc: / isolinux / vmlinuz /isolinux/initrd.img
I put them under D: / Tubrolinux / ISDOLINUX, put on the path only affects the path specified when installing.
3. Set the first / turbo / base directory and / turbo / rpms directory in the TurboLinux CD to the hard disk, and also put the files in the / Turbo / RPMS directory of the second disc with the first RPMS file together.
I put them in: D: / Turbolinux / Tubro / Base and D: / TurboLinux / Turbo / RPMS
4. Use the DOS boot system to start with Windows 98 or lower version of DOS. Win2K / XP is not working, I just spend a lot of time for Win98 boots :(
5. Most of the following operations are related to the file path, and you can see the specific situation.
Operation command:
D: CD Grub 20P Grub.exe
GRUB> KERNEL (HD0, 4) / Turbolinux / ISOLINUX / VMLINUZ ROOT = / dev / ramdisk_size = 25600 devfs = mount, DALL GRUB> Initrd (HD0, 4) /Turbolinux/Indolinux/Initrd.img grub> boot
(HD0, 4) Represents the fourth partition of the first hard disk, on my hard disk is DOS DOS. Ramdisk_size If you set a small, my situation is that when you install Linux, you say that RAM space is insufficient.
After doing these operations, it will restart, and then enter Turbolinux installation. When installing, select the hard disk installation, and set the path to (HDA4) / turbolinux, if you can't find the installed file It will be prompted: P
