Windows XP itself supports NTFS partition, safe level and disk management using NTFS partitions than other partition formats. When you install Windows XP, the system will automatically let you convert the existing partition to NTFS partition, if there is no choice, now I want to turn the hard drive to NTFS, in addition to using partition magic, there is still one Simple and practical methods.
1. Point "Start → Programs → Accessories → Command" prompt (this is a Windows XP built-in interface similar to DOS interface, all instructions are basically the same under DOS).
2. After opening the window, enter "COVERT C: / FS: NTFS" at the cursor, and then enter. Note that there is a space behind "COVERT".
3. Then the system will ask you to enter the C disk's volume label and then enter. The scroll is in "My Computer" point C drive, then look at its properties.
This simply converts the partition format NTFS. This method is only used for FAT32 to NTFS, and NTFS cannot be converted to FAT32.
