4. CMPP functional overview
CMPP is used to establish a short message center and the ICP provides passage, business, and information providing by ICP.
You can provide services to implement mobile data value-added services, such as the following services:
Email notification, voice mail notification, internet short message, mobile station send Email, charge notice, automatic integrated business information station (information on demand business, mainly: weather forecast, stock information, flight information, etc.).
The following uses the Email notification business as an example, the flow of information:
A Internet user sends an email to ICP's Email Server,
The ICP's POP3 Server activates the filter process. If the user applies for the Email notification service, remove the mobile phone number registered by the user, remove the email title, bind it in the CMPP_SUBMIT message, sent to ISMG,
ISMG will check the CMPP_SUBMIT message / "Mobile Phone Number /" field of "receiving the service, query the address of the SMC of the mobile phone user in the ISMG, and then sent to SMC.
After ismg gets a confirmation message, the message is converted into cMPP_SUBMIT_REP, sent back to ICP.
After the SMC receives the message, the message is processed, and the ISMG sends a confirmation message.
It can be seen from the above process. For ICP, the work to be done is mainly concentrated in the second step, that is, makes a filter in the email server to implement the above functions.
From the protocol, the ICP can achieve the function of the control layer as long as the interface implemented in the CMPP, as for specific ICP functional entities, such as Email Server, Web Server, etc., it is still necessary to do some application layers.
