Microsoft disclosed next-generation version of Windows new display engine Avalon on Friday.
Avalon is originally next to Windows - is also a part of Longhorn, but last year Microsoft decided to make it a plus function of Windows XP and Windows Server 2003.
Microsoft announced Avalon last year, and now opens the same version to the General Volkswagen. "We should have the requirements of many people, I am very happy to release it to the general public." Microsoft said on the website.
This preview can be implemented on Windows XP and Windows Server 2003. However, Microsoft warns developers, existing version of the source code is quite rough. Microsoft also suggests that don't even use it on major development computers, not only there may be worms, but also allow users to reinstall the operating system.
Microsoft stated in November that will launch Avalon's beta this summer, 2006 launched a formal version. But Microsoft's representatives are reluctant to express their comments. Download address: Public november 2004 "Avalon" Community Technology Preview Including Winfx SDK
