At present, we can find the following three international phonetic characters:

After copying the Fonts Fonts folder found to Windows, you can display the international phonetic symbol in WINDOWS.
Insert an international phonetic in Word
We use the ipapanadd font as an example (the same method can be taken to the other two fonts).
1. Implement with the insert symbol function provided by Word itself
Go to Word 2000, select the "Insert → Symbol" command in the menu bar, pop up the Symbol dialog box, click the "Symbol" tab, select "IPapanAdd" font from the font drop-down list, as shown in Figure 1. Select the phonetic symbol you want to insert, and press the [Insert] button. You can also press the [Shortcut "button to set the shortcut to the symbol to be inserted so that you can quickly enter with the keyboard.

2. Implement the character mapping table provided by Windows
Click Start → Programs → Accessories → System Tools → Character Map Table "command (if this program is not available on your system, run" Add / Remove Programs "to install, please refer to Windows User Manual), open" character mapping Table "program, and select" iPapanAdd "font from the font drop-down box, where the characters will be displayed, select the phonetic symbol you need, and then click [Copy] button to copy it into the Windows clipboard (Figure 2) , Then press the [Paste] button in Word to insert this phonetic symbol. With character mapping tables, not only enter international phonors in Word, but also in other word processing software such as: Word board, Notepad, WPS.
