JBPM has no role concept. Actor, I think is a collection of all roles of a specific person, which is Roles, not role. An Actor can have multiple ROLE. For example, in the process of leave, if the department manager leaves, he initiates the Actor of the procedure to include two roles of the trustee and department manager. SwiMlnae is to determine what role in what the current actor plays in the node.
