Student use of computers
In recent years, the time students use computer has increased greatly. In 1990, the average number of hours a student spent on the computer per week has only less than 2 hours, and in 1995, the number rose a little to near four hours. BUT IN 2000, Students Spent Nearly 20 Hours Per Week on The Computers. This Number Was Ten Times That of 1992 And Five Times That of 1995.
There are many factors that have stimulated this huge change. One is the increase in computer's functions. Since students can do many more things by computer, the would like to spend more time on it. Another factor is the drop in computers' price. So students can afford to buy one and use it at any time as they like. A third factor is that students have realized the importance of operating computers skillfully. For computers are used more and more widely, in almost every field of social life, it is Necessary for students to master this Skill.
There is sure to be a lot of problems in students' use of compter. The outstanding one, in my opinion, is the lack of objectives, which forces students to learn computer operation programs at random because the do not know which program will be useful In Their Future Job.
