Broadband Integrated Business Digital Network (BISDN) or Broadband ISDN is suitable for high broadband applications. Currently, BISDN provides data transmission rates from 155 Mbps to 622 Mbps and or more based on SONET-based transmission circuits. This is explicitly compared to narrowband ISDN or N-ISDN, and narrowband ISDN can only support data rates from 64 kps to 2 Mbps.
The services supported by BISDN have the following categories:
Session services, such as telephone services, N-ISDN also supports this service. BSDN supports video calls, video conferencing, and some high-speed data transfer services due to increased bandwidth. Information Transfer Service: That is, the storage-forward service. Applicted to voice and video mail, multimedia mail, and traditional email. Retrieval Service: Provide access to information storage and send access information as required by the user. No user control means: For example, the user can choose to see if it is still free. User control representation: Applying to broadcast information, part requires user control.
