Comparison JSR 168 Java Portlet Specifications and IBM Portlet API This article details the similarities and different points of the JavaTM Standardization Request for the Java Portlet specification (hereinafter referred to as JSR 168) and IBM WEBSPHERE Portal Version 5.0 supported. Some basic concepts and features of JSR 168 are explained, and they compare them with the IBM Portlet API and provide an example portlet for each of the two portlet programming interfaces.
