Laszlo is an open source platform developed and issued an Internet application (RIA) to the Web.
The Laszlo platform consists of the LZX markup language and Laszlo:
l LZX is a description language based on XML and JavaScript, similar to XUL and XAML; LZX enable declaration, based on text development process, support rapid prototyping and software development best practices
l Laszlo Represents Server (LPS) is a compiled LZX application to perform binary java servlet in the target run environment; Laszlo's current goal is Falsh Player, LPS compiles the LZX application into a SWF byte code, for any enable falsh 5 and later version of the web browser provide these compiled applications, and the rear-end XML data source and web service proxy application requests.
With Laszlo, you can:
l Develop a standard RIA using a code based on XML and JavaScript
l Release them to any J2EE application server or Java Servlet container running under Linux, UNIX, Windows or Mac OS X
l Display them in a web browser that enables FALSH 5 and its later version, 97% of all web enable desktop systems
