Author bjarke acknowledging the inspiration of Gmailfs tools under Linux, and now, the file system of these two tools is a GmailFS file system. Because I have not successfully installed Gmailfs in Linux, I only test the Gmail Drive Shell Extension.
Frankly, this tool is very easy, but there are still some problems.
problem dicovered:
1. If the user entered the account password error, it is difficult to modify (I can't find the modified place, the law of the related menu is very strange).
2, the file system has an error, because the Gmail Drive and GmailFS tools use a GmailFS file system, so don't know if Gmail Drive is incorrect or the GmailFS file system itself is incorrect.
Brief Analysis of Gmailfs File System:
1. Files and directorys are expressed by email (this is of course, because Gmail is the mail system).
2. Composition of the mail name of the file system, such as the "Gmailfs file name (full path) type flag (file or directory).
3, the attachment content of the message of the directory is flode, indicating the contents of the accessory content of the file.
4, the movement of the file is replication delete implementation.
Gmail Drive Shell Extension is as indicated by its name, not a disk driver, but a shell extension, or an extension of the resource manager. Different from the GmailFS tool below Linux, the GmailFS tool under Linux implements a disk driver.
