Set the record option
(2) Record VU scripts
2. Enter the session name (no more than 40 bytes) or accept the default name. The script name will be specified when the entry script will be completed. If there is no session
Recording option, you can hit the authority button, the next step is permissions.
3. Press OK in the session recording interface, pop up the Session Name dialog, followed by:
- Robot minimizes (default behavior)
- An unfixed Session Record toolbar (default behavior). The application toolbar stops entry, reproduces Robot, and expands a script to join the content.

- If the client application is running, the Session Record window will appear normally or minimize. During the entry, the window will display each step of the statistical client or server.
- If the client application stops running, the Start Application dialog (this dialog only occurs when the API is executed, if you are executing a network or agent entry, select Prompt for Application Name on start recording appears before the Session Record window appears.
4. If the initial application dialog box appears, and provide the following information, press the OK key:
- Database application provides execution path.
- Some client applications that make up a work directory (such as DLLS).
- Some suggestions you want to pass by the client application.
5. Complete a record of one or more transactions.
6. Insert the main content, such as the SESSION INSERT or ROBOT INSERT menu through the floating toolbar, insert the timer and sector.
7. After completing the entry of the handling transaction, close the client application.
8. Tap the Stop Recording button on the Session Record floating toolbar.
9. Select the script name or the default name for the original entry script with the entered script dialog.
10. Hit OK button
A dialog that produces a script appears, it reflects the automatic generation process of the script, after a period of time, the script generation ends successfully
The .ok key is hit in the status bar.
During scripting, you can see:
- Dialog box for missing passwords
- Manual filter dialog
11. In the Generating Script Dialog box, the OK key is entered, and the entered script will appear in the Robot window.
(3) playing back VU scripts
Play VU scripts can be used with any of the following methods:
- Play the TestManager Suite with other scripts to play VU scripts. For information on TestManager Suite, you can view Rationalal
TestManager Help.
- After entering or editing VU scripts, you can play it yourself, just test your own records and editing.
Start script from Robot:
1. In Robot, press File - Playback.
2. Select the VU script name to play.
3. Hit the OK button.
TestManager appears, ready to play the selected script.
4. In TestManager, press RUN - Suite.
5. Click the OK button in the dialog box.
(4) Recording VU scripts
Override Record A session affects all scripts in this session.
If you want to re-record a script, just select the Robot (in the Separate Script or Stop Record Dialog), you are prompted to record the script name of the script.
Similarly, if you design a script in TestManage, its name will appear in the existing script list when the script can be selected from it in the Robot.

(5) Copy VU script
1. Press File --Open - Script.
2. Select the script name you want to copy and press the OK button.
3. Press File - Save As.
4. Define a new script name, press the OK key.
The new script cannot save the topic of the original script and cannot associate other sessions.
(6), delete VU scripts
Delete the VU script to delete the .s file and its properties, but do not delete the associated session file (.WCH).
(7) Compiling VU scripts
When the VU script is played back, if the script changes, it is automatically compiled. Hand-compiled mode operation is the same as the GUI script compilation. Batch compilation VU script operation is consistent with the batch compilation GUI script operation.
