(3) Join the close-up in the GUI script to launch the application in the GUI script

To successfully test objects in Oracle Forms, HTML, Java, Delphi, C , and Visual Basic 4.00 applications, should allow applications before starting the recording script.

When you start an application, you can specifically explain that the application is required to start in the Rational Diagnostic Tool Environment.

The steps to start the application in the script are as follows:

1. When recording, click on the DISPLAY GUI INSERT TOOLBAR button on the GUI Record shortcut bar, edit, position the script cursor, click the Display GUI INSERT TOOLBAR button of the Standard shortcut;

2. Click the appropriate start button on the GUI Insert toolbar (launch the application, start the Java application, start the browser);

4, start recording and edit the script.

During the playback process, Robot runs a specific application when running to the command responding to the script.

Insert a call in other scripts

In the state of the record or edit the GUI script, you can insert the call to the existing GUI script to avoid duplicate application behavior.

1. If you are in a recorded state, click the Display GUI INSERT TOOLBAR button on the GUI Record Express bar. If you are in the edit state, click the Display GUI INSERT TOOLBAR button on the Standard shortcut;

2. Click on the Call Script button on the GUI Insert shortcut bar;

3. Select the GUI script from the list, change the list of scripts, and select the query list;

4. If the test environment is selected according to the execution of the script, if the script does not change the application status, clear the Run Now, whether the Robot will join the script in the call of the script, then execute it immediately;

5. Determine to continue recording or editing.

Insert the timer in the GUI script

1. If in the recording state, click the Display GUI INSERT TOOLBAR button of the GUI Record shortcree. If you edit the status, click the Display GUI INSERT TOOLBAR button of the Standard shortcut;

2. Click the Start Timer button on the GUI INSERT toolbar;

3. After entering the timer name (up to 40 characters), determine if multiple timers are enabled, determine that each timer has a different name;

4. Implement timing behavior;

5. Execute the time behavior, immediately click on the GUI INSERT toolbar;

6. Select an on the timer in the timer list to confirm.

Insert a comment in the GUI script

An comment can be inserted or edited to facilitate documentation and scripting editing.

1. During the recording, click the Display GUI INSERT TOOLBAR button on the GUI RECORD toolbar, and then click the Standard toolbar on the Standard toolbar;

2, click the comment button;

3, enter the comment (up to 60 characters);

4. Continue to record or edit after confirmation.

Robot adds a comment after single quotes, default is green. Change the comment to non-inlease, select text, click the Comment Line or UNComment Line menu item under the Edit menu. Insert Log Message in the GUI script

In a record or editing state, log messages, descriptions, and results can be inserted in the GUI script. In the playback phase, Robot inserts this information in the log. You can use these log messages to play back the script.

1, in the recording state, click the Display GUI INSERT TOOLBAR button on the GUI RECORD toolbar, in the Edit Status, click the Standard toolbar on the Display GUI INSERT TOOLBAR button;

2, click the Write to Log button on the GUI Insert toolbar;

3, enter the message (up to 60 characters);

4, optional operation: input description (up to 60 characters);

5, select a result: Pass, Fail, Warning, None

6. Determine to continue recording or editing.

After playback, view logs and messages in the Test Manager log. The message is displayed in the Event Type column, and the result is displayed in the Result column. View related descriptions, select the log event, click the Properties menu item under the View menu, open the Result page.

1. Record the stage, click the Open Robot Window button on the GUI RECORD toolbar;

2, locate the cursor in the script;

3. Click the DELAY menu item under the Insert menu;

4, input delay milliseconds;
