A First Look at Delphi 2005

Delphi 2005: Good side
Eco's ability to make me quite surprising! I believe it is a technology worth spending time to explore every person. The next time I will provide some articles and free videos in Codefez to demonstrate the power of this interesting technology. The Win32 and .NET applications are very good in the same IDE encoding, Delphi2005 is the only development tool that provides the ability. Those refactoring tools are excellent. The ASP.NET deployment manager looks very beautiful. Develop Delphi with C # items very perfect in the same IDE.
All of these features are significant and representing significant progress in Delphi. The Delphi development team should be proud of them in these areas.
Delphi 2005: Aspects, not as good as possible
But about Delphi2005 is not all new things are positive. Below is some of my problems I found in the initial trial.
Long installation process, about 35 minutes, uninstallation to spend almost an hour, my machine CPU is P4 3.2 memory is 1GB (some people disagree this is the defect of Delphi 2005, thinking that VS.NET is installed for 2 hours Once the installation, the Delphi started when the IDE used 2 minutes and 45 seconds. I created a default Win32 VCL application. Delphi 2005 spent 1 minute to load (creation), and the main form flashed 3 times. I used to expect it to load very quickly, loading IDE itself is time consuming for so long, I think it is to preach some things. In the Toolbox, I will filter out the components that start with "B" with the letter "B". From the results, I dragged a TButton component to the VCL form, which generates two Button on the form. Instead of one. This situation occurs only when the toolbox is filtered. Unfortunately, I prefer to use filter components to work.
