Segment type virtual memory is a combination of segment virtual memory and page virtual memory. In this manner, after the program is segmented in the logical unit, divide each paragraph into a fixed size page. The program is done by the main memory is done by page, but it can be shared and protected by segments. Therefore, it can have the advantages of page-type and segment systems. Its disadvantage is that multiple checks are required during the address image. In a segment-type virtual storage system, each program is positioned through a table table and a set of pages. Each of the segments corresponds to a segment, each expression has a page table start address (page number) and the control protection information of the segment. The page table indicates that the location of this page in the main memory and whether it has been installed, modified.
