Once a web service is deployed, the potential user must be able to find where it is and how it works. DISCO is a Microsoft technology for publishing and discovering Web services. Unified description, discovery and integration (UDDI) is a specification in the line that defines a SOAP-based protocol for updating and querying the Web service information library. Like DISCO, UDDI can publish and discover web services to maximize access sites and get the final success. This column will introduce you to these two techniques and discuss their advantages and disadvantages.
