In order to maintain the number of public folder layers in the organization, you can ban users from creating the top-level public folder. Since the default value in Exchange 2000 is set to allow the EVERYONE group to create the top-level public folder permissions, you must manually remove this permissions.

Even if you have removed the organizational class permission to create the top-level public folder, this permissions will be restored whenever the organization adds a new server running Exchange 2000. If this situation happens, you must manually remove the organizational level.

To remove this permissions, you should first add a SHOWSecurityPage project, then this item will appear on the [Properties] index label in the organization's [Properties] dialog box. By default, the [Security] Index tag does not appear, so you must first add it first.

Note: For information on how to edit login, see and in Regedit.exe Description Document. If you are running Microsoft Windows NT® or Windows® 2000, you should upgrade the Emergency Repair Disk, Erd.

Note: Editing the login method is incorrect, may cause serious damage to your system. So before you login any changes, you should back up any value in your computer.

To add the ShowSecurityPage project to your login:

Turn on the login editor: In the [Start] menu, press [Run], type regedit, and then press [OK]. Look for the following primary key in the login: key_current_user / example, if you want to add the value of ShowSecurityPage Dword, click [Edit], click [Add], then press [DWORD Value]. New value name, enter: showsecurityPage Press two times [ShowSecurityPage], and type 1 in [Value Information]

Next, please follow the steps below. To remove permissions for creating the top-level public folder:

Open [System Administrator]: In the [Start] menu, point to Microsoft Exchange after [Program], then press [System Administrator]. Press the right button in your organization and click [Properties]. Click the [Security] index tab. In the [Name], click [Everyone]. In [Permissions], scroll to [Create the top-level public folder]. In the [Allow] column, the verification block is cleared.
