ASP.NET Problem: When using the local ASP.NET test server running XP SP2 with Dreamweaver (ie, the database connection fails when setting the prefix of the test server URL to "localhost"). When you click the "Test" button in the OLE DB Connection or SQL Server Connection dialog, it is successfully connected. However, if you are trying to browse the table in the Database panel or Dataset dialog box, the database table is not displayed.
ASP: Use the local ASP test server running XP SP2 with DreamWeaver (ie, set the prefix of the test server URL to "localhost"), and specify "Drivers" or "using the driver on the test server" or "using the DSN on the test server "When the database connection fails. Click the "Custom Connection String" or "Data Source Name (DSN)" dialog box, the successful connection is displayed. However, if you then try to browse the table or create a record set in the Database panel, the database table does not display, or the following error message appears: "Unable to retrieve the table from this connection, click Define ..." button to Test the connection. Workaround: Download and install the Dreamweaver extension (refer to article 179021). To use the extension, follow these steps:
In Dreamweaver, select "Site"> "Advanced"> "Delete Connection Scripts". Exit Dreamweaver. Install the extension. Restart DreamWeaver and create a new database connection.
