Eclipse 3.0 has been launched for a few months, but I have been continuing to use 2.1.4, waiting is a stable life of various plug-ins. I recently drilled on the platform of Eclipse 3.0.1. I feel that the functionality of the plug-in is more powerful, and the installation is easier. Eclipse reflects the powerful life it is used. Talk about the mainstream plug-in and basic configuration I use.
The first is Chinese, as a development tool, the English interface is not good, but we can help the eclipse to help documents, which can greatly improve reading speed, there can be many good things in it. First download the multi-language package, it is www.eclipse.org, this language package only supports Eclipse 3.0.1, which is invalid for Eclipse 3.0. Don't rush to upgrade Eclipse, this is a long time.
After downloading, unzip it into the Eclipse directory, then upgrade using the "Install / Update" menu comes with Eclipse, which is a very important feature. The installation plugin is more convenient. The procedure is as follows:
Open the menu: Sorry, my alive is over, everyone's comparison. Select "Search to install the new feature", there will be a look similar below: What you see is much less than the above pictures, because I have added a lot of plugins, and you don't. Click on "New Local Site" and find the location where the language package is located. If the location is wrong, there will be prompts. If there is no error, the language package will appear in the list, select it, all the way, and finally ask you to restart Eclipse. After starting, you may find that Chinese is not good, some menus are still in English. The solution is to create a shortcut to the Eclipse launcher, add a Clean parameter to the shortcut: start once with this shortcut, reread all configurations, speed slower, will be removed later. Hanhua completed.
We can also pass through the network remotely installed plugins directly through the network, and then fill in the plugin name and address, the same as the above. The plugin I have installed is:
Spring plugin: http://springframework.sourceforge.net/spring-ide/eclipse/UpdateSite/ Spring is a very cattle frame.
C # plugin: http://www.improve-technologies.com/alpha/Updates/site.xml can develop C # programs in Eclipse
Code folding: http://www.coffee-Bytes.com/eclipse/Update-site/site.xml offers a variety of code folding styles
Hibernate plugin: http://www.binamics.com/HibernateSync Generates a database profile in a visual manner, and even automatically generates HBM mapping files according to the database table, very cool
UML 2 Plugin: This can only be downloaded, http://www.omondo.com/
Then there is an update site that comes with Eclipse. There is a Visual Editor, allows you to develop Swing / AWT programs in Eclipse, and in the Update address of C # plugin, there is Struts Editor, WSDL Viewer, Axis Plugin, Resin Plugin, etc. are all good things.
It's still a very important plugin: Lomboz, this is very simple, download it down, copy the things under Plugin to the plugin of Eclipse. If there is no effect after installation, add the Clean parameter to start again OK.
With this pile of plugins, the current Eclipse is strong enough, the current popular development framework is already good to pay.
