Enterprise chooses Linux
Idc's analyst Arura said that IDC's "2004 Server Integration Survey" shows that more and more companies are using Linux to replace UNIX.
According to the survey, in a surveyed enterprise, the proportion of enterprises that are being replaced with Windows, UNIX, and NetWare servers is 14%, 18%, 42%, respectively. Arlola pointed out that most companies are transplanting Windows-based server, but companies replacing the Unix server turn to Linux instead of Windows. 32% of companies replacing Solaris turned to Linux.
