Some concepts:

MEM1: Read and delete the memory space where the SMS is located.

MEM2: Write SMS and send SMS where the memory is located.

MEM3: The storage location of the received SMS.

Test command. Used to get a list of storage locations supported by the phone. Returns on my Siemens M55 mobile phone:

CPMS: ("MT", "SM", "ME"), ("MT", "SM", "ME"), ("MT", "SM", "ME")

Representing mobile phone support MT (mobile terminal), SM (SIM card), ME (mobile device)

2, statement:

Set MEM1 for MT, MEM2 is ME, MEM3 is SIM

3, statement:

effect:

Get the current settings.

For example, it returns after the setting of the second statement:

CPMS: "MT", 7, 150, "ME", 7, 100, "SM", 0, 50

Indicates that there are 7 text messages in the MT, with a total of 150. There are 7 in the ME, 150 can be stored. 50 can be stored on the SIM card.
